so a trellis is advised. Cucamelon are also known as the Mexican Sour Gherkin, . The cucamelon doesn't produce as much fruit as a regular cucumber, but the fruits are small and very cute looking like miniature watermelons. , but have a very a cucumber flavor with slight hint of citrus .Can be eaten fresh or pickled. Harvest them at the 2cm (1") size, before the seeds develop. This is a heat loving tropical plant that is most productive in hot weather or a greenhouse setting. Start the seeds indoors and treat as you would a conventional cucumber seedling.
