Bloody Butcher 120 days — 'Bloody Butcher' is an old dent-type corn has been grown in the United States since at least 1845. Its stalks reach ten to twelve feet tall producing two to six ears of corn per stalk.This is a dent corn that is very good for grinding into corn meal or grits, and it’s wonderfully ornamental. It is not intended for eating as corn on the cob. The tall stocks can exceed 4m (12’), with up to six ears each. Some kernels dry pink or even white, but most are intense dark red. Can be used for roasting or frying when young but generally used for flour or corn meal. Good flavored.
