A gorgeous shiny compact plant with short internodes. The high number of medium-small, dark green leaves create very full bunches or pots. Great for container production. Outward splayed habit, very uniform. Pleasing aroma and flavour.
This new cross between classic Genovese basil with its Thai basil cousin has short internodes but the improved disease resistance naturally found in the Thai variety. It has traditional basil flavour and fragrance, numerous leaves, and growth that is outward and splaying. It looks really quite good in containers, and is well suited to the patio herb garden. Frequent harvesting will prolong the life of the plant. Basil leaves have the best flavour just before the plant blooms. Pinch off flower buds to get longer harvesting season
