Sugarsnax 54 carrot seeds are an Imperator type. This long, slender variety is well known for its sweet flavour and tender texture. The 24 cm (9″) roots are rich, dark orange, with very high beta-carotene content. The roots are incredibly straight and uniform. Plants have strong tops for bunching, and show resistance to Alternaria, Cercospera, and Pythium. For the best roots, grow in soil that has been deeply dug and broken up. Raised beds work well for long-rooted carrots like Sugarsnax.
